Jasir Miller, a junior at Prairie View A&M, is a committed member of the cross country team, entering her third year with the program. This season, Jasir's goal is to contribute significantly to the team, enhance her endurance, and leverage this strength to excel in mid-distance events.

Her passion for running was inspired by her older sister. Jasir finds fulfillment in the sense of self-achievement that running provides, which bolsters her confidence and discipline. Her favorite all-time movie is Apocalypto, and she is a big fan of Michael Jackson. Jasir enjoys Caribbean food and loves the festive spirit and connection of Christmas.

In her spare time, Jasir indulges in tattooing, painting, and traveling. A standout moment in her athletic career was during the SWAC Championship, where she anchored the 4x400 meter relay team from fourth to first place, securing a crucial win.

Jasir believes mental health is a significant challenge for athletes today. Looking five years ahead, she hopes to pursue a career as a sports psychiatrist, combining her passion for athletics with a focus on mental well-being. She chose Prairie View A&M for its strong track team and excellent criminal justice program.
