Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Maya Clark is a junior from Houston, Texas and a kinesiology major. She enters the season with a personal best of 19:54 in the 5K. Maya first fell in love with the sport through the strong team culture and continues to thrive in environments where support and camaraderie are central.

One of her most memorable experiences as a student-athlete was traveling to the historic Armory in New York, an opportunity that broadened her perspective and strengthened her bond with teammates. She chose Prairie View A&M because it felt like a home away from home, and her goal this season is to support her team in any way necessary, whether through scoring, leadership, or encouragement.

Beyond running, Maya is a creative soul who enjoys caring for her plants and expressing herself through tattoo artistry. She’s a fan of the movie Interstellar, currently enjoys the music of Malcolm Todd, and loves salmon. Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday, especially when it aligns with her birthday. Maya aspires to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and pursue a career helping others through movement and recovery. With her drive, creativity, and heart for her team, Maya is a key contributor to the PVAMU cross country squad.
