Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Baileigh Williams is a freshman at Prairie View A&M University and a dynamic addition to the women's soccer team. Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana and a graduate of Conroe High School, she brings versatility on the field with experience playing as a winger, center back, and forward. She is pursuing a degree in architecture and dreams of one day having clients seek out her designs.

Baileigh’s journey with soccer began at a young age, but her passion grew as she traveled, met new people, and experienced the highs and lows of competition. After recovering from ACL surgery, she returned to the sport with a deeper appreciation and a drive to give her all. For Baileigh, playing is about reclaiming lost time and showing her coaches and teammates that she plays with heart and intention.

Her most memorable moment in soccer came when her team traveled across the country for nationals and lost every game. That experience taught humility and brought her team closer together. She believes the biggest challenge for athletes today is balancing the intense pressure that comes with treating your sport like a job while still maintaining love for the game.

Outside of soccer, Baileigh enjoys building Legos and going on hikes. Her favorite movie is Astro Boy, and she is a fan of sushi and crawfish. Christmas is her favorite holiday because of the comforting smells of her grandma’s pies and the warmth of family traditions.

Baileigh chose Prairie View A&M because it offered her desired academic path, was close to home, and represented her long-held dream of attending an HBCU. She is excited to grow within the PVAMU community both on and off the field.
