Emely Reyes, a junior majoring in Civil Engineering at Prairie View A&M University, plays defense and hails from Houston, TX. Inspired by her brother, Emely’s dedication to soccer is driven by her dream to excel in the sport and achieve her goals. Her previous experience includes attending UTEP, where she honed her skills.

One of Emely’s standout moments in soccer was scoring two goals in a World Cup qualifier. She enjoys sand volleyball, painting, and hitting the gym, and her favorite movie series is Fast and Furious (1-7). Her favorite foods are pasta and grilled chicken, and she treasures Christmas for the chance to gather with her family.

Emely identifies mental health as a major challenge for athletes today, highlighting the need for balance and support. In the next five years, she hopes to complete her engineering degree and play soccer overseas. Her dream job is to manage engineering projects, such as building or bridge construction. She chose Prairie View A&M University for its strong soccer program, friendly people, and vibrant campus.
