Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Isabela Rodriguez, known by her nickname Bela, is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M University, majoring in Biology. She hails from League City and graduated from Clear Creek High School. On the softball field, she plays utility and wears jersey number 8.

Softball has taught Bela the importance of resilience, especially when things don't go as planned. Her favorite movie is The Blind Side, and she admires Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Bela has a deep love for Italian food and cherishes Thanksgiving as her favorite holiday, appreciating the chance to spend time with loved ones and give thanks for all the blessings in her life. Outside of softball, she enjoys baking and weightlifting.

One of Bela's most memorable moments in softball was hearing her grandparents cheer for her as she ran the bases at a young age. She feels their continued support and is reminded of their pride every time she plays. In five years, Bela hopes to have completed all the necessary steps in nursing school and be on the path to becoming a doctor, with a focus on growth both personally and professionally. Her dream job is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Bela chose Prairie View A&M for the welcoming atmosphere and the guidance she received from the people at the university.
