Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Jalyn “J” Dennis is a freshman from Suwanee, Georgia, majoring in Nutrition at Prairie View A&M University. A graduate of Lambert High School, Jalyn’s love for soccer began through playing with her friends and was further fueled by a coach who believed in her abilities. She is motivated by a desire to make both herself and her parents proud as she continues to grow on and off the field.

Jalyn’s most memorable soccer moment was leading her high school team to their furthest playoff run in six years, a milestone that highlighted her dedication and teamwork. She believes one of the biggest challenges athletes face today is dealing with comparisons to others and seeking validation based on performance. Despite these challenges, Jalyn remains focused on her goals and passion for the sport.

Outside of soccer, Jalyn enjoys shopping and cooking. Her favorite movie is The Greatest Showman, and she loves tortellini and jollof rice. Christmas is her favorite holiday because she values the happiness and togetherness it brings. She chose Prairie View A&M for its family atmosphere and unique sense of culture. Looking ahead, Jalyn hopes to build a career where she can provide for herself doing something she loves, with dreams of becoming a nutritionist for Atlanta United.
