Biography
Jayla Roashe is a senior from Spring, Texas, majoring in Chemical Engineering at Prairie View A&M University. A graduate of Klein High School, Jayla has been playing soccer since she was three and credits her family’s support for fueling her lifelong passion for the sport. She enters every game motivated by the “3 F’s” she writes on her wrist: Family, Faith, and Fun.
One of Jayla’s most memorable moments was making it to the SWAC tournament, a milestone that reflects her dedication and hard work. She believes mental and physical health are the greatest challenges athletes face today, and she approaches the sport with balance and resilience.
Off the field, Jayla enjoys painting, drawing, shopping, Legos, crafts, and eating. Her favorite movies are Rio and The Princess and the Frog, and she loves seafood, ramen, dumplings, pasta, and Wingstop. Her favorite holidays are her birthday and Thanksgiving. Jayla chose Prairie View A&M for its unique culture and energy. In five years, she hopes to remain active in soccer while pursuing a career in the medical industry, with a dream job making pediatric prosthetics.
