Jordan Shynett is a freshman goalkeeper hailing from Fresno, CA. Currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering, she draws inspiration from her first coach and team, which initially sparked her passion for soccer. Her motivation is driven by a desire to make her family proud and to provide them with reasons to celebrate her accomplishments.

Jordan’s favorite movie is Maze Runner, and she has a deep love for cinnamon rolls. She looks forward to Thanksgiving every year, relishing the holiday for its delicious food. In her free time, Jordan enjoys hobbies like spending time with family and indulging in food. One of her most memorable moments on the field occurred when she was placed as a forward for the first time and scored her first goal.

Jordan identifies several key challenges for athletes today, including maintaining motivation, managing competition, and fostering effective teamwork. Looking ahead, she hopes to have a rewarding career where she can comfortably be herself. Her dream job is to own a large business or corporation. Jordan chose Prairie View A&M University not only for its academic and athletic programs but also because her parents attended the institution, making it a meaningful choice for her.
