Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Kyla Arnes, known as Arnes, is a junior from Layton, Utah majoring in Biology at Prairie View A&M University. She previously attended Western Wyoming Community College and plays midfield and forward. Inspired by her older sister Ashley, Kyla’s passion for soccer comes from wanting to share something meaningful with her family.

Her most memorable moment was scoring her first collegiate goal in community college, which was an amazing experience. Kyla believes mental health and access to its resources are some of the biggest challenges athletes face today.

In her free time, Kyla enjoys reading, fishing, and cooking. Her favorite movie is Major Payne, and Christmas is her favorite holiday because she loves spending time with her family, especially her siblings. She chose Prairie View A&M to continue playing soccer while benefiting from the coaches, facilities, and education. In five years, Kyla hopes to pass her boards and begin her career as a physician assistant in family practice or oncology.
