Mya Sheridan, known as Mya, is driven by the support and encouragement of her parents, Sabrina and Robert Sheridan, and her siblings, Saidah, Jenee, Chanel, Simone, and Robert. Her love for sports is deeply influenced by her family, who have been pivotal in her athletic journey.

Outside of soccer, Mya enjoys gaming and shopping. She is also a fan of Michael Jackson and SZA, and her all-time favorite movie is Love Jones. Her favorite food is seafood, and if she could be any fictional character, she would choose to be a fairy. A fun fact about Mya is that she likes fishing, something not many people know about her.

Mya’s favorite words to live by are, “It is what it is.” Her dream job is to run a successful business and work for a game developer company. She chose Prairie View A&M University for the HBCU experience and appreciates the opportunity to contribute to building a strong soccer program. Mya values the chance to grow both academically and athletically at PVAMU.
