Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Nia Grace Wilson, known as Nia, is a graduate student from Toronto, Canada, studying Juvenile Justice at Prairie View A&M University. She previously attended Troy University and plays both forward and midfield. Inspired by watching the Canadian women’s national team as a kid, Nia’s passion for soccer is fueled by her love of the game and a desire to inspire other young girls to pursue the sport.

Her most memorable moment on the field came when she scored a crucial goal to tie a game with less than a minute left. She believes one of the biggest challenges female athletes face today is the risk of ACL injuries. Outside of soccer, Nia enjoys sewing and her favorite holiday is Halloween because she loves dressing up and being creative.

Nia chose Prairie View A&M because of its welcoming culture and supportive environment. Looking ahead, she hopes to pass the bar exam and build a career as a criminal defense lawyer, her dream job. Five years from now, she aims to be making a difference both on and off the field through her legal work and her passion for soccer.
