Tanahj Pettway is a graduate student majoring in Business, originally from Worcester, Massachusetts. He previously played at New Mexico State and now takes on the role of point guard at Prairie View A&M.

Tanahj’s favorite NBA player is Allen Iverson, who he admires for changing the culture of the game and for overcoming personal struggles similar to his own background. Iverson’s influence and resilience resonate deeply with him.

His favorite all-time movie is "I Am Legend," and his culinary preferences include classic PB&J sandwiches and salmon. While Tanahj doesn’t have a particular favorite holiday, he enjoys spending time with his dogs and family, which are his key hobbies.

To Tanahj, being part of a team means building lasting connections and achieving memorable accomplishments together. He believes that staying mentally focused is one of the greatest challenges for athletes today.

One of his most memorable moments in sports was leading his team back from a 23-point deficit to win by 2 points against Western Kentucky. Looking ahead, Tanahj aspires to play professional basketball, earn enough to support his family, and improve his brothers' lives. His dream job is to be his own boss. He chose Prairie View A&M because the culture and coaching staff made him feel like family, providing a supportive environment for his growth and success.
