Megan Reed serves as the Director of Development and Executive Director of Athletics Development (Panther Athletic Fund) at Prairie View A&M University.

Reed joined Prairie View A&M University in December 2020, serving as Executive Director of the Prairie View A&M Foundation, where she provided strategic oversight of all philanthropic initiatives supporting the University and managed Foundation operations to advance institutional priorities.

Prior to Prairie View A&M University, Reed spent seven years at the University at Buffalo, most recently as Assistant Athletics Director for Development for the Blue and White Fund/Sport Administrator. During her tenure, she oversaw annual giving, major gift stewardship, donor events, and the Shareholders Society (major giving society). Under her leadership, annual fund cash collections more than doubled through the launch of innovative fundraising initiatives. Reed also directed Football and Men’s Basketball game day benefit programs, premium seating efforts, and all stewardship and special events. In 2019, she additionally served as Sport Administrator for the Volleyball program.

Before her career in intercollegiate athletics fundraising, Reed was Sales Manager for the Sports and University Markets at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo, where she was the top-producing sales manager and earned the Hyatt ELITE Performer Award, recognizing the highest sales achievers across the Hyatt Corporation.

Reed also served as Director of Game Day Experience and Events at the University of California, Berkeley, overseeing marketing, promotions, special events, and the game day experience for 27 varsity sports. Earlier in her career, she held roles at Colorado State University and with the NBA Charlotte Hornets and WNBA Charlotte Sting, and has worked numerous NCAA championship and conference tournament events as a marketing and game operations manager.

A former NCAA Division I volleyball student-athlete at Oregon State University and UNC Charlotte, Reed brings a student-athlete–centered perspective to her work in athletics.

Megan and her husband, Donald, reside in Cypress, Texas, with their three children: Donovan, Maia, and Miles.
