Moses Ellis Named College Football Performer of the Week

For his efforts during the annual State Fair Classic this past weekend, Prairie View A&M football redshirt junior Moses Ellis earned College Football Performer of the Week Honorable Mention honors at cornerback.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Ellis had a strong weekend defensively as he recorded his third interception of the season, broke up a pass in addition to forcing and recovering a fumble during a five-tackle performance versus Grambling State in the annual State Fair Classic in Dallas. For the year, the 5-9 cornerback has 19 tackles, three interceptions, five pass breakups, eight pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

The purpose of the College Football Performance Awards (http://collegefootballperformance.com) is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
