Prairie View A&M head coach Glenn White has added two highly-touted student-athletes to the Prairie View A&M bowling program for the 2013-14 campaign in Aleah Bradley of Chicago, Ill. and Krista Hill of Round Rock, Texas.
Bradley attends Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep Academy in Chicago, Ill. and is a four-year varsity letterwinner who intends to major in PV's prestigious nursing program as she possesses a 4.3 GPA in high school. Bradley led her school to the 2010 high school city championship and has a current average of 183.
Hill is a three-year varsity letterwinner from Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas. She earned all-state and all-district bowling honors as a junior. In her junior season, Hill led Stony Point to the Texas High School Bowling Club State Championship in addition to a district championship. Individually, Hill also was the THSBC Region VI Champion and qualified for the THSBC Singles Championship Tournament. Hill, whose current bowling average is a 195, is off to another solid start in the 2012-13 campaign as she was crowned MVP of the Track Kat Cup in Huntsville, Texas on Dec. 9. Like Bradley, Hill also intends to pursue a career in the medical profession as she intends to enroll in PV's Undergraduate Medical Academy.
“I'm very excited to be able to add both of these young ladies to our team next season,” said White. “Not only do they come with great skills on the lanes, but they're outstanding in their studies. I have watched Krista over the last two years learn and excel in the game of bowling primarily due to her will to excel at everything she does. Her potential is unlimited while Aleah also comes with great skills and a desire to succeed and compete. Both will add much-needed depth to our squad for next year.”
The Lady Panthers recently wrapped up the fall bowling campaign in December and will return to action on Jan. 11-13 at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark.
