The month of February will be full of excitement as the Prairie View A&M basketball teams have several promotions scheduled for its next three home games.
The month's first promotion kicks on Saturday night as the anticipated rivalry game between the Prairie View A&M Panthers and the Texas Southern University Tigers tips off at 5:30 p.m. in the Baby Dome in the “White Out” NCAA Pack the House Challenge Night. The Lady Panthers look to regain their throne atop the SWAC attendance charts this season as the first 200 fans to Saturday's game will receive commemorative t-shirts. Also during halftime of the men's game, the Lady Panthers will receive their SWAC Tournament Championship rings from last season's historical run in addition to the PV Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
High School Day is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11 as both teams will face Jackson State beginning at 3 p.m. in Prairie View. A special discounted $5 ticket will be available for area high school students.
On Monday, Feb. 13 against Grambling State, the Lady Panthers will host their annual “Think Pink” Game in support of breast cancer awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear pink as the Lady Panthers will don pink uniforms and other accessories. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m.
