The Lady Panthers have a tough task ahead of them in facing No. 16 ranked Texas A&M in Reed Arena tonight. Prairie View A&M will try to bounce back from a season-opening loss to Rice on Oct. 8.
Junior point guard Jeanette Jackson took the lead for Prairie View A&M in that 77-63 loss, putting up a career-high 32 points to go along with two assists and two steals. She relied on getting to the paint and drawing contact en route to connecting on 13-of-16 free throw shots.
She was able to go to Larissa Scott in the post who finished with seven points and nine rebounds in her first contest. Gabrielle Scott contributed with nine points and five steals defensively.
Prairie View A&M is 2-15 overall against Texas A&M and has never had a win against a ranked opponent in program history. Jackson and the Lady Panthers will try to change that in Reed Arena.
