ELMWOOD PARK, N. J. – The Prairie View A&M University bowling team finished ninth in the Fairleigh Dickinson Tournament.
 
In Sunday's Baker format, the 22^nd ranked Lady Panthers beat #21-ranked Valparaiso four games to two (169-161, 149-165, 167-162, 197-195, 166-184, 190-177) before defeating #20 St. Francis (N.Y.) 4-1 (170-168, 199-176, 214-151, 145-171, 200-188).
 
In the tournament featuring 14 nationally ranked teams, Prairie View A&M finished ahead of #8 North Carolina A&T, #17 Kutztown, #19 Adelphi, #20 St. Francis (N.Y.), #21 Valparaiso, and #24 Jackson State in the 27-team field.
 
Amanda Burton (18^th, 190.0 avg.) and Alexes Burton (20^th; 188.40 avg.) each posted Top 20 individual finishes in the field of nearly 190 competitors.
 
Prairie View A&M will complete its fall schedule this weekend in the Sam Houston Tournament.
