MADISON, Wisconsin – The Prairie View A&M University men's basketball team opened a seven-game road trip with a 95-50 loss at 16
th-ranked Wisconsin.

Zachary Hamilton was the only player in double figures for the Panthers, scoring 15 points, his sixth-straight game in double digits.
Daquan Cook added nine points and Ja'Donta Blakely scored eight along with team highs in rebounds (five) and assists (four) for Prairie View A&M (2-5).

The Panthers got off to a fast start, as baskets by Hamilton, Blakely, Cook, and then a dunk by J.D. Wallace gave PVAMU an 8-3 led less than two minutes into the game.

The Badgers (5-2) went on a 7-2 run to take the lead at 10-8 before a dunk by PVAMU's
Lavonne Davis tied the score at 10-10 with just over 15 minutes to play in the first half.

Wisconsin took the lead for good on the next possession and after a 5-0 spurt, a three-pointer by Hamilton brought the Panthers within two at 15-13 with 13:23 to play in the half. Following a pair of baskets by the Badgers, a three-pointer by
L.J. Westbrook cut the PVAMU deficit to 19-16 with 11:37 to play until halftime. However, a 12-0 run by Wisconsin pushed the lead into double-digits.

The Panthers return to action Saturday in a 4 p.m. game at the University of Houston.
