HOUSTON – The Prairie View A&M University men's basketball team lost at Houston 105-61 Saturday at Hofheinz Pavillion.

Zachary Hamilton led the Panthers with 15 points, five rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal.
Daquan Cook added 13 points and a pair of steals.

PVAMU (2-6) led twice early, as three-pointers by Hamilton and Cook were a part of three early lead changes. An early Cougars' run put the Panthers' margin at double digits.

Prairie View A&M fought back and cut the deficit to single digits on a pair of free throws by Hamilton to trial 29-20 with just over seven minutes to play in the first half. However, UH (6-1) made the last run of the half as the Panthers trailed 47-29 at intermission.
