Prairie View A&M University head volleyball coach
TaCho Tyler has announced her first signees for the 2017 season.
Tyler expects incoming Lady Panthers Cree Lespierre and TaTierra Johnson to add depth to the hitter's position.
Cree Lespierre (5-8 • Right Side/Outside Hitter • Rockwall, Texas)
Cree played with Blocksport Volleyball Club. She is a left handed rightside hitter that can also play outside very well.
Coach Tyler says: "Her passion, hustle, and versatility on the court are what made me notice her. She has a nice arm swing and can block very well also. She is able to play various positions on the floor which we will utilize to the fullest extent."
TaTierra Johnson (5-9 • Outside Hitter • San Antonio, Texas)
TaTierra played volleyball at John Marshal High School in San Antonio. She was a first team All-District, First Team All-Academic, IPAC (Instant Replay Scholar Athlete), Thursday Night Lights Athlete and the team captain.
Coach Tyler says: "TaTierra is an outside hitter whom I've had the pleasure of watching since her freshman year. Each year she has gotten better and better and is nowhere near her peak. Her vertical and ability to snap at the height of her jump will be a benefit to us next season on the pin."
