Women's Basketball Faces In-State School Stephen F. Austin

With finals week behind them, the Prairie View A&M University women's basketball team has hit the road for a game against Stephen F. Austin before heading into Christmas break. 
 
The contest is set to tip at 7 p.m. Tuesday 20 will appear on ESPN3. Fans can also listen to the game on the OpenMic Broadcast Network or get live stats on pvpanthers.com.

This will be the ninth meeting between the Lady Panthers and the Ladyjacks.  They last met at the William R. Johnson Coliseum, with PV falling 83-73 to SFA.
 
Prairie View A&M won their last contest at home with a 64-60 win over Texas State.  Jeronia Allen led the team in the win with 21 points and 10 rebounds her first double-double of the season.  Alexus Parker currently leads the team in scoring averaging 15.1 ppg.  She posted her 1,000 career points in the game against the Bobcats. 
 
"Coming in to a game after playing a game we as a team have to make adjustments," said head coach Ravon Justice.  "We worked out hard today to get prepared for a fast pace team like Stephen F. Austin.  We just have to come here tomorrow and take care of the ball and make baskets."
 
SFA is currently 8-2 on the season, including a seven game win streak.  Taylor Ross is leading the Ladyjacks offense, averaging 16.6 points and dishing out a team-leading 36 assists.  Teammate Stevi Parker is averaging 10.4 points and leading on the boards averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.
