EDINBURG, Texas – The Washington State Cougars plated eight runs in the top of the seventh inning to claim a truncated 14-3 win Saturday over Prairie View A&M at Texas–Rio Grande Valley's Al Ogletree Classic.

Parker McFadden pitched four and one-thirds innings for the Cougars, and when the game was cut short after seven innings, regained his eligibility for the win.
Edgar Sanchez absorbed the loss for the Panthers, pitching six innings.

Nick Gurka went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Panthers.

Angel Avalos all collected RBIs for Prairie View A&M.

Trek Stemp knocked four RBIs for the Cougars, while Derek Chapman and Patrick McGrath collected three RBIs apiece for Washington State.
