PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M tennis teams dropped both matches during action on Saturday.
The women's team fell 7-0 to Abilene Christian University, while the men fell 5-2 to Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
The Lady Panthers traveled to Houston to face ACU and picked up a set in the doubles (
Tatiana Ruhl and
Sydney Thomas) by the score of 7-5.
Trinity Randolph of PVAMU captured a set win in singles at the five defeating A. Boarman 6-4, 3-6, 12-10.
The men's team came out fighting, taking UTRGV down to the wire picking up wins in the single column.
Xavier Lawrence of PVAMU defeated the Texas-Rio Grande Valley player at the three spot by the scores of 8-6, 6-3. Zacharty Suico won in the sixth spot by the scores of 6-2,3-6,7-5.
The women's team will return to the court Sunday when they face Southern Methodist in Dallas at 6:30 p.m. The men's team returns to action Tuesday against Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
