MONTGOMERY, Alabama – The Prairie View A&M University soccer team ended their weekend road trip to Alabama with an even split, dropping Sunday's affair 2-0 to Alabama State.
Scoreless through nearly two thirds of the first half, the Lady Hornets broke through first in the 38th, scoring of a corner kick for a 1-0 lead at the half.
Going almost through another half of the second period Alabama State scored for a final time in the 65
th minute.
The Lady Panthers were unable to mount a comeback with three second stanza shots. Sophomore
Blair Lane led the team with four shots, while sophomore
Alexis Mack and junior
Reina Cruz had two shots each.
The Lady Panthers return home Friday, hosting Arkansas Pine Bluff in a SWAC match at 7 p.m. at the PVAMU Soccer Field.
