Women's Tennis Falls In Home Finale to Texas A&M Kingsville

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas. –  The Prairie View A&M women's tennis team lost its home finale to Texas A&M Kingsville by the final of 4-3 Saturday afternoon at the PVAMU Tennis Center
 
The Lady Panthers' Neharika Rama and Stacy Lackey won their set at the No. 1 position in doubles 7-5 over Valerie Ruiz and Victoria Romanovskaia.
 
Rama also picked up a win in singles over Lisa Carvajal at the No. 1 position by the scores of 6-2, 7-5.  Sydney Thomas also won her singles match forcing a third set over Ruiz 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.  Timara Maxwell also defeated her opponent at the No. 5 position over Stephanie Baeman to give the Lady Panthers their three match points, before falling at the No. 6 position with Javelina's taking the 4-3 win.
 
Women's tennis will take a week off and return to action when they face Louisiana at Lafayette on the Cajun Courts at 5 p.m. on Saturday
