EDINBURG, Texas – The Prairie View A&M University soccer team fell to Cal-Bakersfield 5-0 Sunday.

The Lady Panthers fell behind early with a first goal coming in less than 10 minutes into the game by Cal-Bakersfield. The Roadrunners scored three more goals in the first half and a fifth goal late in the second half. Â

Prairie View A&M finished the game with five shots from three different players, including two shots on goals apiece coming from sophomore Paiton Maples and senior Diana Neff. Senior Clarissa Ladesma finished the game with nine saves.

The Lady Panthers will open the home schedule against Nicholls State on Friday, August 25 for a 7 p.m. kick at the PVAMU Soccer field.
