PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas –  The Prairie View A&M women's soccer team played a hard fought game in their home opener Sunday against McNeese St, falling 4-0.
 
PVAMU took twelve shots while boasting eight shots on goal. Blair Lane and Jovanna Bernal showed fighting spirit leading the team with two shots out of the eight shots on goal.
 
Lady Panthers Clarissa Ledesma racked up four saves out of seven just before she got injured, teammate Alexis Espino collected the last three saves for PV.
 
Prairie View will continue its home portion of the season when they host St. Thomas at the PVAMU Soccer field Sep. 15 at 7 p.m.
