HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – The Prairie View A&M University soccer team posted its second straight shutout, blanking Alabama A&M 2-0 in Southwestern Athletic Conference action Friday.

The Lady Panthers got on the board in the first half when freshman
Alessandra Rivera knocked her first collegiate goal off the inside post just under the 11:00 minute mark.

Diana Neff bounced a loose ball in off a penalty kick at the 55:00 minute mark for her first goal of the season.Â

Clarissa Ledesma made four saves, and posted her second shutout of the season.

Prairie View A&M outshot Alabama A&M 19-8, and led 10-4 in shots-on-goal.Â

The Lady Panthers will play another road game when they travel to Montgomery, Ala., to face SWAC defending Champions Alabama State on Sunday in a 1 p.m. start.Â
