HOUSTON – The Prairie View A&M soccer team battled Southwestern Athletic Conference foe Texas Southern to a 0-0 tie at Durley Stadium in their final regular season contest to clinch a fifth seed spot in the conference tournament.
Quinn Josiah had five saves in the match, three of which were in the overtime frame as the Lady Panthers move to 7-9-2 overall and 5-3-2 in SWAC play.
Texas Southern out shot PVAMU 15-5 in the match, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Alexis Mack each had a shot at the net or the Lady Panthers. This was the sixth time that Prairie View has shutout its opponent.
The Lady Panthers will face the #4 seed Alabama State on Thursday at 12:30 pm in the SWAC tournament, which is set to begin Nov. 1 at Prairie View A&M University. The league's top eight teams advance to the conference tournament.
