PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M women's tennis team fell to the University of Louisiana Lafayette in double header action on Saturday, falling in both matches 4-0 at the PVAMU Tennis Courts.
 
In the early game after ULL won the doubles point, the Lady Panthers battled, but it wasn't enough falling 4-0. Stacy Lackey finished her set first at the No. 1 falling 6-2, 6-0. At the No. 6 Timara Maxwell fell 6-2, 6-0 as well. In the final match up the Lady Panthers Jimena Duran-Castellanos went falling 6-2, 6-4 to close out the match.
 
In game two of the dual match although the Rajun Cajuns won the point in the double match, the duo of Tatiana Ruhl and Shaddae Findley won their match at the No. 2 position 6-4.  Neharika Rama and Constanza Aranguiz came up just short of winning their set, falling short with the score of 7-6 at the No. 1 position.
 
The Lady Panthers battled in the singles as Castellanos fell at the No. 2, 6-2, 6-2. Stacy Lackey fought at the No. 1 position falling by the scores of 6-2, 6-3. In the closing set for the Lady Panthers. Maxwell put up the best effort as she fell 6-4, 6-4. 
 
PVAMU women's tennis will return to action at the SWAC Round up in Montgomery, Ala., Friday March 16-18. Times and the opponents have not been determined.
