HOUSTON – The Prairie View A&M baseball team lost at Houston 9-2 Wednesday at Schroeder Park.

Avery Williams each had two hits for the Panthers, who return to action Friday hosting Southern at 3 p.m. in game one of a three-game SWAC Western Division series.
The Panthers tied the game in the second inning at 1-1.
Steven Williams, who reached base on a fielder's choice, moved to second on a ground out and later scored on back-to-back wild pitches.
Houston broke the game open with a seven-run second inning.
