Zachary Hamilton were named to the BOXTOROW All-American teams.
Blackston was a first team selection, while Hamilton was a second team selection.
Blackston (6-2, 185; Jr., Baltimore, Md. / Angelina CC) led the SWAC in scoring at 19.2 points per game. He was also fifth in assists (3.5/gm), fifth in steals (1.5/gm), ninth in FG% (43.9%), t-13th in rebounds (5.3/gm), and t-14th in FT% (71.9%). He scored a career-high 32 points in a Jan. 29 win at Alabama A&M, along with eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Blackston tied the career-mark with 32 along with eight rebounds in the SWAC Tournament vs. Texas Southern. Blackston, who earned second-team All-SWAC honors and made the SWAC All-Tournament team, had 17 games of 20+ points, and has scored in double figures in 28 of 32 games this season. Blackston is a two-time SWAC Player of the Week (Nov. 28, Dec. 12).
Hamilton (6-4, 200; Sr., Houston, Texas / Westbury Christian) is second on the team and 6
th in the SWAC in scoring, averaging 15.9 points per game. He tied for first in the SWAC in made 3s per game (2.6), was sixth in both 3-pt FG% (37.4) and in FT% (78.8). He earned SWAC Player of the Week on Dec. 26, averaging 24.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in games at Ohio and New Mexico. Hamilton, who earned first-team All-SWAC honors entered the 1,000-point scoring club at Texas A&M on Dec. 9, and as continued to climb the all-time list in scoring in PVAMU history, ranking eighth with 1,384 points. He scored in double figures in 28 of 33 games with eight games of 20+ points, tying a career-high with 31 points at New Mexico on Dec. 22.
