PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M University soccer team hosted Texas State Sunday afternoon, but couldn't find the net, falling to the Bobcats 3-0.
"Just looking back on today's game, we had five amazing chances to score," said head PVAMU coach
Sonia Curvelo. "We just needed to finish those chances, but we were hitting right at the goal keeper, it was a matter of hitting right or left. I think we did well with creating our chances. On the defensive side we just need to improve, where the girls are more on the inside of the box then on the outside and the players understand that. We just need to get back to the little things. The little things will make the biggest difference."
PVAMU had a total of seven shots in the match, with six of them on goal. Freshman Kailia Brown led the Lady Panthers with two shots, while sophomore Jojo Bernal, freshman
Sonia Feuntes, sophomore
Alessandra Rivera and freshman
Kaelyn Carnahan all had one shot apiece on the afternoon.
Prairie View's goalkeeper
Quinn Josiah finished with six saves, as Texas State had 18 total shots, and nine on goal.
