PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M volleyball team will open October hosting a pair of conference matches in Grambling State and Southern.
 
The matches will be video streamed live at pvpanthers.com/Sportsnetwork, with live stats available as well as pvpanthers.com.
 
"This week's matches are so crucial for us," said PVAMU volleyball coach TaCho Tyler.  "We have performed well in conference thus far (3-2 in SWAC), and need to keep that momentum going.  We really have the talent to be at the top of the conference, so we need to execute one match at a time."
 
PVAMU opens the week with the Grambling State Tigers on Monday, with the opening serve set for 6:30 p.m.  GSU enters the match with a 4-15 record and a 2-3 mark in SWAC play.  The Lady Tigers are riding a two-match winning streak with wins over Mississippi Valley and Tougaloo. 
 
The Lady Panthers will wrap up their home contests for the week with another 6:30 p.m. match against Southern Tuesday.  SU owns a 2-12 record on the season, and a 1-4 mark in conference play.  The Jaguars enters the week on a four-match losing streak, with their last win coming against Mississippi Valley at the SWAC Roundup.
