"The team had a slow start this during the morning play," said head PVAMU coach
Glenn White. "We really didn't get it going until the third match after losing the first two.  Any team here can beat you if you're not ready to compete and we just weren't ready. The last three matches of the day were all tough matches but we were able to grind out a couple of wins."Â

Sunday

th – ranked Delaware State University 4-2 (191-172, 185-194, 192-166, 207-200, 155-212, 166-154). PVAMU moved onto the second round, where they were fell in their matchup against 17th-ranked Louisiana Tech 1-4 (186-205, 234-239, 190-225, 229-180, 190-193).

Â
"I am pleased with our overall performance this past weekend in the NCAT Stallings Invitational," White said. "We fell a little short of our goal which was to finish from third to fifth but I will accept our finish. The team showed a maturity that I have been looking for in how we should compete in the national tournaments and in how we bounce back from a poor performance in any match."
Â
"They really competed well in bracket play on Sunday winning a tough match against ranked Delaware State and ultimately losing a hard fought battle against La Tech. Now we have a chance to step back and really work on some things during our holiday break to get ready for a heavy schedule next semester." Â
Â
Next, the Lady Panthers will return to action when they compete in the NCAA Vegas Open beginning on Friday, Jan. 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
