BOX SCORE PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — The Prairie View A&M volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with a 3-0 win over Grambling State on Sunday.

CeTara Carter and senior trainer Regginee Flora-Booker were all honored for their achievements and contributions ahead of what was their second-to-last home game of the season.
"The team came out and took care of business tonight," Head PVAMU volleyball Coach
TaCho Tyler said. "We're just trying to focus and keep it going one game at a time. We have Southern next, and that's a really important game for us. So we're just trying to take everything by strides."
The Lady Panthers went on a 6-0 run to open the first set. Despite a small push from Grambling, Prairie View extended their lead to 12-3. The team was able to keep a steady lead throughout the rest of the period, leading by as many as 11 points as they took the 25-16 set one win.
Both teams opened the second set with an intense back and forth battle. PVAMU took their first substantial lead at 7-4, and managed to stay a few steps ahead of GSU. Grambling came within reach at 10-7, but the Prairie View outscored their opponents 10-4 to bring the score to 20-11. In the final minutes of the set, Prairie View A&M won the scoring battle 5-4 and took the second set 25-15.
The Lady Panthers dominated throughout the third set. Holding a 21-6 lead until a small pushback from the Lady Tigers brought the score to 22-8. However, PVAMU's strong offensive showing allowed them to keep Grambling at bay and win the final set 25-12.

Tamaira Armstrong and sophomore right side hitter
Tamia Hightower all contributed with eight kills apiece.
The Lady Panthers will return to the Baby Dome on Monday, Nov. 4 to face Southern University in the home finale game of the season. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
