LUBBOCK, TX --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team lost to the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros in three sets (15-25, 17-25, 18-25) Friday at United Supermarkets Arena.
The non-conference loss dropped Prairie View A&M to 0-9 on the season.
Iyonna Sherwood finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Lady Panthers offense. got 8 digs from Camille Middleton to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Panthers found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-15. Prairie View A&M trailed by as many as 10 points as UT Rio Grande Valley grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up three times before the Vaqueros took control.
SET 2 | Prairie View A&M fell in set two 25-17, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Lady Panthers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | UT Rio Grande Valley finished the sweep with a set-three win. The Lady Panthers fell in a tough set 25-18. Prairie View A&M trailed by as many as eight points as UT Rio Grande Valley grabbed the advantage for good at 9-8 in a set that was tied up four times before the Vaqueros took over the lead.
