Women's Bowling Set to Host SFA in Opening Round of NCAA Bowling Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2019 Southwestern Athletic Conference Bowling Champions Prairie View A&M have been selected to host the opening round of the NCAA Bowling Championship at the Emerald Bowl in Houston, when they face Stephen F. Austin.
 
The NCAA Women's Bowling Committee announced on Wednesday the twelve-teams vying for the 2019 National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship.
 
This will be the Lady Panthers first appearance in the NCAA Championship, as the match is set for Friday, April 5 for a 1 p.m. first roll.
 
The winner of Friday's match up will face Sam Houston State, next Thursday April 11, at the RollHouse Wickliffe in Wickliffe, Oh.
 
The championship bracket will be a double-elimination, with each round consisting of a best-of-three match that includes the use of three team game formats – baker total pin fall, five person team match and a best-of-seven baker match play.
 
The championship final will air at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Saturday, April 13 on ESPNU.
