LAKE CHARLES, La. –The Prairie View A&M baseball team fell 4-1 in their final game of the regular season, against McNeese State on Wednesday.
Daniel Lingua landed on base after opening the first inning with a triple to right center field, while
Tyler Gordon followed with a groundout to the short stop that allowed Lingua to touch home plate and post the team's lone run of the game.
PVAMU led with a single run until then fourth inning when McNeese tied the game 1-1. Prairie View was unable to respond to the three runs posted by McNeese late in the game, falling 4-1.
Redshirt sophomore Tracey Warren allowed only seven hits, while also delivering six strikeouts in the loss.
Next, the Panthers are set to begin the 2019 SWAC Baseball Tournament beginning on Wednesday, May 15 in New Orleans, La.
