JACKSON, Miss. – Prairie View A&M women's tennis team swept Grambling State 4-0 during day two of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tennis Roundup at Jackson State University.

In doubles action, sophomore Mahagoni Green and freshman Victoria Fuenmayor Castillo took down their opponent by a score of 6-2. Freshman Salma Sanchez Villalobos and sophomore Claudia Andrea Islas Medina defeated their opponent 6-3 to clinch the doubles point for the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Panthers dominated in singles play, as Medina swept her opponent 6-0 in both sets. Villalobos cruised past her opposition as well, with set scores of 6-0, 6-1. Castillo clinched the match with a resounding 6-1, 6-0 win as the Lady Panthers nabbed their first victory of the season.
