PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M baseball team (2-6) continues a seven-game home-stand with a Tuesday afternoon contest versus Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, with first pitch set for 2:30 p.m. at Tankersley Field.
The Panthers are coming off a series victory over Texas College to begin the home portion of the 2020 slate. Senior
Kyle Smith threw a complete game in Friday's 3-2 victory, and Prairie View A&M book-ended the series with a 5-4 comeback win.

David Garcia and Senior
Andrew Garcia have been effective, as A. Garcia is in the midst of a four-game hit streak and has reached based in every game this season. D. Garcia has safely reached base in each of the past five games and leads the team with a .357 batting average.
Prairie View A&M is 0-3 all-time against the Islanders. In the teams' last meeting on April 10, 2019, PVAMU came out on the wrong end of a 17-9 slugfest that saw nine combined pitchers used and three home runs, one from Sophomore
Alex Martinez, who drove in four runs for the Panthers in the contest.
Scouting the Islanders:
– The Islanders enter Tuesday's game in search of their first road win of the season. Corpus-Christi has been in the thick of most of their contests thus far thanks to a solid pitching staff that has managed to keep most of its opposition under wraps to the tune of a .237 opponent batting average.
– Scott Hastings leads the Islanders at the plate with a robust .533 clip.
