BOX SCORE COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Prairie View A&M women's tennis (0-3) fell 7-0 to Texas A&M Monday evening at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
How it Happened:
After dropping the doubles point, PVAMU was unable to get going in singles action versus the Aggies.
Salma Sanchez Villalobos had the most impressive effort among the Lady Panthers, fighting hard despite a 6-4, 6-4 setback in the No. 6 singles match.
Jimena Duran Castellanos also pushed her opponent early in the No. 4 singles match, but it wasn't enough during a 6-2, 6-1 defeat. Victoria Fuenmayor (No. 1 singles),
Ruju Chauhan (No. 2 singles) and
Mahogani Green (No. 3 singles) each fell by 6-0, 6-1 margins, while No. 5 singles player
Jessica Lackey dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision.
PVAMU is back in action Wednesday versus Texas A&M-Corpus Christi alongside the Panther men for the programs' home opener. Action is set for 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
