PRAIRIE VIEW - With many of the top ranked teams in the nation, Prairie View A&M bowling team finished the 2021 Colonial Classic strong, placing 11
th out of a field of 14 teams to open up its 2021-22 athletic season.

"I knew this would be a tough event to begin the year with," PVAMU head bowling Coach
Glenn White, said. "We have a smaller than normal roster this year and having to get our freshman and less experienced members more involved in competition, especially considering the competitive field of competition it was a little tough for us. We struggled through the weekend, but we learned a lot about ourselves that should benefit us next week. I'm encouraged at the efforts of our young players, and I expect us to continue to improve through the season."

On the final day of play, in a best of seven Baker match, the Lady Panthers would finish on a bit of a positive note defeating SWAC Runner-up Jackson State (171-173, 177-183, 185-145, 145-134, 161-158, 187-204, 168-153) to cap off its first Tournament of the season.

th overall in the competition
