Los Angeles, Calif. – The Panthers showed fight and determination in loss to Loyola Marymount Saturday Night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
In the first half, PVAMU quickly found themselves down six to zero early in the first half to eventually fight back to take a 40-37 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, the Panthers showed the same fight and determination, they put on a show in the opening minutes of the half. It started with a lot of back-and-forth, but the panthers soon went on a 12-0 run to take the lead to 54-46. LMU wouldn't go down easily fighting back winning the game 83-80.
From an incredible effort by senior guard
Jawaun Daniels, who posted 31 game-high points, five rebounds, and a block to lead the Panthers.
D'Rell Roberts finished with 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Dwayne Cox added 10 points shooting 4-for-6 from the field. As a team the Panthers shot 44.6 percent from the field and were 11-for-23 from the three point line.
