PRAIRIE VIEW – "Don't call it a comeback" (In the famous words of LL Cool J), when the Prairie View A&M football team was down 20-10 heading into the fourth quarter, the Panthers went to work with a thrilling 24-20 upset victory over the Alabama State Hornets for an unforgettable homecoming contest Saturday in Panther Stadium.
"We have to execute in order to win the game, we weren't doing in all three phases of the game" head PVAMU football coach
Eric Dooley said. "We have a kicker that can make field goals, we have a defense that is fast and physical that was missing tackles, we have an offense that have a lot of play makers that can execute and we just weren't doing it tonight. Alabama State was able to make some things happen, but at the end we were able to come out on top."
