PVAMU hosts TSU in clash of SWAC West's top two teams

PRAIRIE VIEW – The top spot in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Western Division is up for grabs as Prairie View A&M hosts arch-rival Texas Southern for a pivotal series this weekend.

PVAMU News and Notes:
- PVAMU (8-9, 7-2 SWAC) enters the weekend on a bit of a hot streak, having won four straight and six of their last seven outings.

- The Lady Panthers have five hitters with a .300 average or better, led by Kimberly Hernandez's .500 clip at the plate. Among qualified hitters, Maddison Parker's .424 average is tops in the league. Overall, Prairie View A&M boasts the best offense in the league, pacing all SWAC teams in hitting (.289), doubles (27), runs per game (5.0) and slugging percentage (.414).
