LAFAYETTE, La. – The Prairie View A&M soccer dropped its regular season opening match against the University of Louisiana Lafayette Friday night 1-0, despite that they were even all the way down to the wire.
How it Happened:
In a team effort by ULL with 30 seconds (89:30) left in the game scored a clutch goal to take the contest 1-0.
The Lady Panthers played strong throughout the game as they looked poised all the way through. Unfortunately, they were unable to capitalize on six shots with one on goal.
Postgame Notes:
- Five different Lady Panthers took shots:
Bety Hernandez-Ortega (1),
Sonia Fuentes (2),
Savannah Powell (1),
Samantha Moran (1) and
Nia Rampersad (1).
- Fuentes was the only member of the squad to manage a shot on goal.
