Pass

It's Time for the State Fair Classic

9/24/2021 2:21:00 PM

DALLAS – The third Saturday of September marks a time where every Prairie View A&M and Grambling State student, alumni and fan not only look forward to the State Fair, but a chance to see two historical teams and bands clash in the State Fair Classic at the historic Cotton Bowl.

Six months ago (March 6), the Panthers (2-1, 1-0 SWAC) and the Tigers (1-2, 0-0 SWAC) faced off in unusual circumstances playing at a different time, on a different date, as well as at a different location.  PVAMU still walked away with its third consecutive win defeating GSU 17-10.

With the almost certain ebbs and flows to occur Saturday between two explosive teams, the management of emotions will be just as important as focus and execution.
