BOX SCORE JACKSON, Miss – The Prairie View A&M women's tennis team captured their first win in Southwestern Athletic Conference action upended Bethune Cookman 7-0 on Saturday.

The Lady Panthers swept doubles play to pick up the point, with the team of Victoria Castillo and Mahogani Green defeating the Bethune Cookman players 6-2, before Ruju Chauhan and Gabrielle Leslie posted a 6-0 win over BCU players.
 
During the singles matchups PVAMU took all six points in no particular order, receiving wins from Gabrielle Leslie by the scores of 7-6, 6-3.  Victoria Castillo defeated her opponent by the scores of 6-0, 6-1.  Chauhan won her match (6-2, 6-2), while Claudia Medina picked up her match with the scores of 6-0, 6-0.  Points six and seven came by default.

PVAMU will return to action on Sunday for the final day of the SWAC Pods when they face Mississippi Valley State for a 1 p.m. first serve.
